Our
company was an outgrowth of
an effort to find learning solutions to
accommodate students with different
learning capabilities, ranging from the
learning disabled to the very bright.
The
result is a learning system featuring a
course control Presenter™
which allows students to proceed at
their own pace, in their own space, and
at a time of their own choosing.
Because High Q courses address different
learning styles and needs, our courses
are used in mainstream college classes
and continuing education and distance
learning programs. Making High Q
courses a part of a college's
community outreach program enhances the college's role in the community and
facilitates that all-important business
industry liaison.
A
fundamental feature of the resulting
High Q learning system is the separation
of the course Presenter™from the course content. This results in
a vast array of student freedom, student
comfort and student control commands. The
inherent privacy of High Q learning
eliminates student fear, intimidation
and inhibition. There is no adversarial
relationship between the Presenter™and the student. For example, tests
are not designed to “catch
you,” they are designed to
“teach you.”
High
Q enlists the expertise of numerous
educators and other professionals to
author the course content. Free from
computer and programming considerations,
our authors have produced superior
content.
Our
authors have employed the Presenter™capability to design courses which
accommodate many different learning
styles. For example, top down,
sequential, intuitive, specific topics,
random forays … all are at hand,
depending on the student’s need at the
moment.
The
marriage of course content with the Presenter™produces a progeny of
educated, contented students.
